If you think you may be pregnant and are confused, scared, anxious, or have questions, you’ve come to the right place. We provide pregnancy testing, discussion of all your options, and an initial ultrasound at no charge.

An ultrasound is a vital step in your pregnancy journey, providing essential information about your pregnancy’s viability and gestational age. It confirms pregnancy, determines how far along you are, and checks for potential complications, empowering you with knowledge as you consider your options.

When you are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, we understand you may consider all of your options: parenting, adoption and abortion. It is important to understand that abortion is a medical procedure. As with any medical procedure, you should gather all of the information about the procedure, risks, and side effects associated with it.

Choosing adoption for your child is a difficult and scary choice, but it is also a loving, selfless and often times responsible act. When facing an unplanned pregnancy, adoption can be a positive path for you and your child.
At Hope Clinic for Women, we can discuss your options, even though we do not perform or refer for abortions. We hope to educate, inform, and equip you as you make your choice. If considering abortion, ask yourself these questions:

We adhere to a strict privacy and confidentiality policy. Clients will be protected from disclosure of information that violates their right to privacy except where required by law, required for public health reasons, required to avert a threat of harm to the client or a third person, or when other circumstances may reasonably warrant such use or disclosure without prior authorization (e.g., abuse reporting, suicide/homicide prevention, etc.)

The abortion pill is a non-surgical method used to end an early pregnancy through medication. Often called “medical abortion”, “chemical abortion”, or “Plan C” this approach involves taking two pills in a specific order to complete the process. The FDA approves its use for women with confirmed pregnancies within the first 10 weeks of their last menstrual period.
The abortion pill involves two medications that work together to end a pregnancy. The first pill blocks a hormone necessary for maintaining pregnancy, and softens the cervix to prepare for the next step. The second medication induces uterine contractions, causing cramping and bleeding to expel the pregnancy tissue. This process typically occurs within hours of taking the second pill.
In some cases, the two medications are taken together or spaced 24–48 hours apart. A follow-up appointment or ultrasound is often advised to confirm that the procedure is complete. The full process usually lasts around two weeks but may take longer, depending on the stage of pregnancy.
Side effects are similar to symptoms experienced during a miscarriage and can persist for about two weeks. Common side effects include:
The abortion pill can be incredibly dangerous (and sometimes life-threatening) for certain demographics. Factors that affect your ability to take the abortion pill include:
It is crucial to discuss your complete medical history and current medications with a healthcare provider to ensure your safety and determine the best course of action. It is also important to get an ultrasound before and after taking the abortion pill, as this will rule out ectopic pregnancy and afterwards confirm the abortion was complete.
Hope Clinic offers free pregnancy verification to help you make informed decisions.

The most common early symptoms of pregnancy often include:

Not everyone is ready to make an appointment right away, and that’s okay. Send us your questions, and our compassionate team will respond quickly and confidentially to help you find the clarity you need.

A compassionate team member will reply to your question soon.

On your first appointment with us, we ask that you bring:
Check-In
Once you enter through our front door you will be greeted by our receptionist who will confirm your appointment and ask you to fill out medical records paperwork. This helps us to understand what other health needs you may have separate from your pregnancy. It is recommended that you arrive 15 minutes early to find parking and fill out the necessary medical paperwork.
Options Counseling
After that paperwork is filled out, you will meet with a counselor. This will give you a few precious moments to relax, breathe, and process what a positive or negative test may feel like for you. Our goal is to create a safe space for you to bring fears, joys, frustrations, and doubts. Don’t be afraid to ask questions at any point during your appointment.
Pregnancy Test
Next, you will be asked to pee in a small cup in our guest bathroom. You will leave the cup in the bathroom and the counselor or a nurse will run a pregnancy test. The at home pregnancy tests or the period and fertility apps are good indicators and they can be fairly accurate. But nothing beats a professional performing medical grade pregnancy test for you. This will measure the hCG hormone (human chorionic gonadotropin, otherwise known as the pregnancy hormone) in your urine. We will be able to confirm the results of that test within a few minutes. After that your counselor will meet you back in the counseling room to deliver the results. Typically, a nurse or nurse practitioner is available to answer any medical questions you may have. At this time, your support person may join you in the counseling room. Whether the test is positive or negative, we will be providing resources to you for the next steps. Your health is our top priority.
Results
If the test is positive, you will continue to discuss your options with a counselor. She will share information about all abortion procedures and referrals for adoption agencies, and she will share about our robust Bridge parenting program. You don’t have to decide right there. You have time to think and process. There is no need to rush. Typically, we offer to book a follow-up appointment, as you may need time to process this visit and need a follow-up visit to ask more questions, or just a safe place to process without anyone forcing you to do anything.
Ultrasound
If your pregnancy is far enough along, the nurse may offer a Limited OB Ultrasound. We recommend a limited obstetrical ultrasound to additionally confirm the pregnancy, detect if there is a fetal heartbeat, and determine the fetal age and approximate due date. All of this information is good for you to be aware of. This is also offered free of charge, and we can provide images of that ultrasound for you to keep. If you are not far enough along, we will book a follow-up visit to provide that ultrasound.

Placing your baby for adoption can be a good option when circumstances are such that parenting would not be in the best interest of the baby or the parents. Adoption looks very different for each individual, and it does not always mean total separation from your child.
There are various levels of adoption:
Open adoption: birth family maintains a relationship with the adoptive family, which may include visits, phone calls, letters, and shared personal information
Semi-open adoption: you establish contact with the adoptive family, usually through a third party, like an adoption agency or attorney
Closed adoption: there is no contact or shared information between the birth families and the adoptive families
At Hope Clinic, we make sure you receive the best information possible on adoption such as what the process entails, facts that you may not be aware of, and resources and referral information of adoption agencies in the area that can provide further support.
If you have decided you aren’t in a place to parent, but do not want to have an abortion, we would love to educate you on the adoption process.
