Still Have Questions?
Schedule Your Appointment

We understand that an unexpected pregnancy may bring lots of questions, fears, and unknowns into your future. You deserve a place to process all of these while getting relevant information for your circumstances.

We’re Glad You’re Coming

If you’re reading this, it means you’ve scheduled your appointment, and that alone can feel like a big step. It is very common to feel nervous, unsure, overwhelmed, relieved, or even to have second thoughts as the day approaches. You might be wondering how the visit will go or whether you are ready. All of that is normal. Whatever you’re feeling right now, you are not alone, and you do not have to have everything figured out before you walk through our doors.

If You’re Feeling Nervous or Unsure

A lot of people feel anxious before their appointment. You might be wondering how the visit will go, what you’ll be asked, or how emotional it might feel. If part of you is saying, “I don’t know if I can do this,” you’re not alone. Whatever you’re feeling right now is okay. We’re here to meet you right where you are.

What You Can Expect From Us

When you arrive, our goal is simple: to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and listened to. We’ll take things at a pace that feels manageable. We’ll explain what’s happening as we go. And if emotions come up, that’s okay. Hope Clinic is a place where that’s understood. You’ll be treated with compassion and care, without judgment or pressure.

What the Visit Is Like

Hope Clinic for Women front desk staff welcoming a client and assisting with check-in to begin compassionate pregnancy support and care.

Your visit isn’t meant to feel rushed or overwhelming. We’ll start by getting to know you and what brought you in. You’ll have time to talk, ask questions, or simply listen. If you need a moment to pause or collect yourself, that’s always okay. Nothing moves forward without your understanding or consent. We’ll take it one step at a time.

A Safe Place to Talk

It’s okay if you’re not sure what to say when you arrive. Many people feel hesitant to talk at first, especially if they’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or guarded. That’s completely understandable.

At the same time, your appointment works best when we’re able to hear what’s on your mind. Sharing your thoughts, questions, or concerns helps our team better understand how to support you and make this visit as helpful as possible for you.

You’re always in control of what you share and how much you share. There’s no pressure to say everything all at once. Even starting with, “I’m not sure where to begin,” is enough.

We work hard to create a safe place to talk, where you can speak openly without fear of judgment and know you’ll be met with care and respect.

Common Worries People Have

Some worries come up again and again, even if people don’t always say them out loud:

  • “What if I cry or feel emotional?”
That’s completely okay. Many people do.

  • “What if I change my mind?”
That’s okay too. This visit doesn’t lock you into anything.

  • “What if I don’t know what I want?”
You don’t need to. This is a place to slow down and sort through your questions.

  • “What if I feel embarrassed or ashamed?”
You’ll be met with kindness, respect, and care.

If You’re Thinking About Canceling

It’s very common to think about canceling, especially when emotions feel heavy or the day gets closer. If showing up feels hard, that doesn’t mean it’s the wrong choice. Often, it just means you could use some extra support. If you have concerns or questions before your appointment, you’re always welcome to reach out.

A Few Practical Reminders

A few small details that can help your visit go smoothly:

  • Try to arrive 15 minutes early
  • Bring any requested paperwork or ID
  • Wear whatever helps you feel most comfortable
  • You’re welcome to bring a support person, if applicable
