Post-Abortion Support Groups and Counseling
Uncovering HopeOur clinic strongly values confidentiality. We aim to create a safe and completely confidential environment to protect both your privacy and safety. Whether you are pregnant, experienced rape, a victim of sexual assault, date rape, or any type of abuse, we are here for you and want Hope Clinic to feel like a safe place to heal.
Abortion is never an easy decision to make. Although it seemed like the right choice at the time, you may find yourself questioning that decision. This is common and that’s why we’re here. Maybe you told someone, maybe you’ve carried this secret and are still carrying feelings of guilt, shame, and loss. We’re here to help.
Support Groups
Hope Clinic facilitates weekly support groups comprised of other women like you and led by a survivor and professional counselor. You are not alone. No matter where you are in your healing journey, there are others alongside you. This donation-based and confidential group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. We’d love to have you join us whenever you are ready.
One-on-one Counseling
Hope Clinic offers hope and healing through post-abortion counseling that is discreet, confidential, and affordable. One-on-one counseling is available if you feel the need to explore healing more privately at any point in your journey. All our one-on-one sessions are affordable and available on a sliding scale based on income – we would never want cost to prohibit you from seeking care.
If you are interested in learning more, please contact a counselor at 615.321.0005 or send a text to 866.805.3674. You can also contact us electronically with the form below.
How much does it cost?
We offer two types of sessions: support groups and one-on-one counseling. Our support groups are free.
Our one-on-one and couples counseling with a licensed counselor are provided on a sliding scale based on income (per a recent pay stub or tax documents). Sessions range between $25-$85. We never want cost to be an inhibitor, so limited scholarships are available. Please be prepared with income documentation at your first session.
How long are the sessions?
We offer two types of sessions: support groups and one-on-one counseling. For our support groups, these will last for approximately one hour on Wednesdays. You can join when you are ready and close-out your journey when you are ready. For one-on-one counseling, you will meet for an hour with a licensed counselor as often as you and your counselor decide (at least once a month).
Each session type is available virtually via a HIPAA-compliant video call service, Doxy OR in-person at our clinic.
Is this service faith-based?
While Hope Clinic is a faith-based nonprofit, we incorporate spirituality and faith to the degree you desire. If faith is a part of your journey we want to integrate that into the therapeutic process. If you are uncomfortable with faith conversations we will lean into our evidence-based and professional training for abortion loss counseling.
What will we talk about?
We can explore a variety of topics as it pertains to your story. Here are some of the things that may be explored:
- Feelings of anxiety and depression
- Telling a partner about an abortion
- Self-loathing and self-esteem issues
- Motherhood after an abortion
- Parenting after an abortion
- Destructive behaviors (including substance abuse)
- Relationship issues (including destructive relationships)
- Trauma
- Reconciliation
- Forgiveness and grace
Is it confidential?
Yes, our clinic strongly values confidentiality. We aim to create a safe and completely confidential environment to protect both your privacy and safety. Whether you are pregnant, experienced rape, a victim of sexual assault, date rape, or any type of abuse, we are here for you and want Hope Clinic to feel like a safe place to heal.
